Sign InSelf-realization is the ultimate goal of human life. It is the recognition of our true nature as eternal, conscious, and blissful beings - Sat-Chit-Ananda.
The Upanishads declare: "तत्त्वमसि" - Thou art That. This mahavakya reveals that the individual soul (jivatma) is not different from the Supreme Soul (Paramatma) in essence.
The journey of self-realization involves:
1. Viveka - Discrimination between the real and unreal
2. Vairagya - Dispassion towards worldly pleasures
3. Shatsampatti - Six virtues including sama, dama, uparati, titiksha, shraddha, and samadhana
4. Mumukshutva - Intense longing for liberation
Through consistent practice and divine grace, the seeker eventually realizes their true identity beyond the body-mind complex.
