1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Universal Spirituality, creating an account, posting community content, subscribing to communications, making a donation, or otherwise interacting with the services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of the Services

Universal Spirituality is a spiritual learning and community platform presenting teachings, discourses, Q&A, books, songs, bhajans, miracles, events, series, reading tools, search, recommendations, user dashboards, progress tracking, notifications, forums, contact forms, and donation features connected to the mission of world peace and spiritual understanding.

Some features are public. Other features require an account, verified email, active session, specific role, or administrator approval. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms under the laws applicable to you.
• If you are under the age at which parental consent is required in your jurisdiction, you may use the services only with appropriate parent or guardian consent.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, login methods, devices, and account activity.
• You must not share, sell, transfer, impersonate, or misuse accounts, roles, sessions, verification codes, or administrator privileges.
• You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access or security compromise.

4. Spiritual and Educational Nature of Content

Content on Universal Spirituality is provided for spiritual, educational, devotional, informational, and community purposes. It is not professional medical, psychological, financial, tax, legal, or emergency advice. You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, interpretations, and reliance on any content.

We strive to present teachings faithfully and respectfully, but content may contain translations, interpretations, formatting changes, excerpts, historical references, user-generated discussions, or administrative edits. You should exercise discernment and consult qualified professionals for professional advice where appropriate.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the services to:

• Violate any law, regulation, third-party right, contract, or court order.
• Post hateful, abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, violent, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful content.
• Attack, ridicule, or demean any faith, tradition, teacher, community, user, or administrator.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass authentication, scrape at scale, probe infrastructure, overload systems, or interfere with platform security.
• Attempt SQL injection, cross-site scripting, credential stuffing, spam, automated abuse, rate-limit evasion, or unauthorized API access.
• Misrepresent identity, affiliation, donation status, spiritual authority, admin authority, or endorsement by Universal Spirituality.
• Collect user data without permission or use the platform for unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes, political manipulation, or commercial solicitation.
• Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, database, moral, or other intellectual property rights.

6. Community Rules and User Content

You may be able to submit forum threads, comments, replies, feedback, ratings, notes, profile details, images, links, or other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license below and any rights held by others.

By submitting User Content, you grant Universal Spirituality a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, moderate, edit for formatting or safety, translate, distribute, and otherwise use that content as necessary to operate, secure, promote, archive, and improve the services.

• You are solely responsible for User Content you submit and for ensuring you have all required rights and permissions.
• Community areas must be used for respectful spiritual discussion, sincere inquiry, and constructive participation.
• We may remove, edit, restrict, hide, archive, lock, flag, review, or preserve User Content at our discretion.
• We may limit editing windows, nesting depth, voting, subscriptions, or other forum behavior to prevent misuse and preserve discussion quality.

7. Platform Content and Intellectual Property

The services include spiritual writings, books, discourses, songs, translations, images, audio, PDFs, software, designs, icons, data compilations, code, search systems, layouts, trademarks, and other materials owned by Universal Spirituality or licensed from third parties (“Platform Content”).

Unless a separate license or written permission states otherwise, you may access Platform Content for personal, non-commercial spiritual study and sharing in a respectful manner that preserves attribution and does not misrepresent source, meaning, context, or endorsement. You may not bulk copy, sell, repackage, train competing datasets, remove notices, exploit, or commercially distribute Platform Content without permission.

All software, interface, database, and administrative rights not expressly granted are reserved. No rights are granted by implication, waiver, or estoppel.

8. Donations and Payments

Donations are voluntary contributions intended to support the mission of spreading spiritual wisdom for world peace. Donation processing may be provided through Stripe, Razorpay, UPI, card networks, banks, or other payment partners.

• You must provide accurate payment information and may use only payment methods you are authorized to use.
• Payment processors may apply their own terms, privacy policies, fees, eligibility rules, exchange rates, fraud checks, and dispute procedures.
• Unless required by law or expressly stated during a campaign, donations are generally final once successfully processed.
• If a payment appears successful but verification fails, you should contact us with transaction details so we can investigate with the relevant processor.
• We may pause, limit, refund, reject, or investigate donations to comply with law, processor requirements, fraud controls, or platform policies.

9. Email, Notifications, and Communications

By creating an account or using features, you consent to receive transactional communications such as verification codes, password reset messages, account activity alerts, service updates, donation confirmations, security notices, and support responses. You may also receive newsletters, spiritual content updates, campaigns, or forum notifications based on your preferences or consent.

You can unsubscribe from marketing or campaign emails using the unsubscribe link provided in those emails. Transactional or security messages may still be sent where necessary to operate the service.

10. Third-Party Services and External Links

The services may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Supabase, Vercel, Google OAuth, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Fonts, Gmail SMTP, Resend, Stripe, Razorpay, OpenAI, external media, original source websites, streaming links, PDFs, images, and other resources.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, policies, fees, decisions, or processing. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own agreements and privacy practices.

11. Administration, Moderation, and Enforcement

We may monitor, investigate, moderate, remove, restrict, or preserve content and activity when we believe it is necessary to operate the platform, enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent abuse, preserve evidence, comply with law, or maintain the spiritual integrity of the service.

We may warn, limit, suspend, deactivate, delete, or terminate accounts; revoke roles; restrict features; block access; remove content; or report activity to authorities when appropriate. We are not obligated to provide prior notice when immediate action is needed for safety, security, legal, or operational reasons.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information. By using the services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Service Availability and Changes

We work to provide a reliable and meaningful platform, but the services may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or changed due to maintenance, migrations, outages, security issues, third-party failures, legal requirements, or operational decisions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability of any feature or content.

14. Disclaimers

• We do not warrant that content will be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for your specific needs.
• We do not warrant that spiritual, devotional, educational, or community content will produce any particular personal, spiritual, emotional, financial, or practical outcome.
• We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, quiet enjoyment, and course of dealing to the extent permitted by law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Universal Spirituality and its administrators, volunteers, contributors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages; loss of data, goodwill, use, or business; payment processor issues; third-party actions; user content; unauthorized access; or reliance on content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Universal Spirituality for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event or INR 5,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Universal Spirituality and its administrators, contributors, service providers, and affiliates from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the services, User Content, violation of these Terms, violation of law, infringement of rights, misuse of accounts, or interactions with other users or third parties.

17. Termination

You may stop using the services at any time and may request account deletion through available account tools or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, infringed rights, abused the platform, or where continued service is no longer feasible.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, user content licenses, donations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law, and dispute provisions.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. You agree that disputes will be brought before courts of competent jurisdiction in India, except where applicable law grants you non-waivable rights to bring claims elsewhere.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith. Nothing in these Terms limits either party’s right to seek urgent injunctive or equitable relief for security, intellectual property, confidentiality, or platform integrity issues.

19. Miscellaneous

• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms, form the entire agreement regarding the services.
• If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of platform operation, restructuring, migration, or continuity.
• Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
